Lindsay Rakers
Lindsay Rakers has been fronting bands since high school back in Pittsburgh.
Her solo career in Atlanta started with hosting open mics, and really got
going when she won a radio contest and played live on 92.9 FM once a week
for most of 2003. During that time, she formed Tiny Girl (a nod to the
inevitable "How can that big voice come from such a tiny girl?"). In late
2004, Tiny Girl became the Lindsay Rakers Band. The name change was a
pivotal career move, as Google searchers seeking this particular tiny girl
were oft led astray.
